Swami Ramteertha by Sachin Sinhal

Swami Ramteertha was a great philosopher and religious preacher. He was born on October 22, 1873 in Murariwala village of Gujranwala district of Punjab (now in Pakistan). His father Gosain Hiranand managed his family through his job of priesthood. His family was related to the lineage of Goswami Tulsidas.
Ramteertha’s grandfather Gosain Ramchandra was a famous astrologer of his time. While making the horoscope of Ramteertha, he had made it clear that Ramteertha would be a great scholar and religious preacher; but he would not stay in the world for a long period.
About a year after Ramteertha’s birth, his mother died. His father, Gosain Hiranand, entrusted the child’s care to his sister, Dharma Devi. She looked after the child with great love and care. Ramteertha had a lean physical frame, but his eyes had a glimmer.
