Udayavani is a Kannada language daily newspaper from Bangalore, Karnataka. It means the ?morning voice? in Kannada and this paper is widely read in the coastal region of Karnataka. With strong morals and the need to report the truth, the newspaper was founded in 1971 by Mohandas Pai and T. Satish U. Pai. It?s owned by the Manipal Group and published by the Manipal Media Network Ltd. Its editor for the Manipal region is Balakrishna Holla and the editor for the Bangalore region is Shiva Subramanya. The newspaper is a daily publication available in the broadsheet format. It provides news, views and commentary from the state and across the country. It covers national and international news, developments in business and economics, sports and feature articles among other newsworthy topics. Parallel editions are published in Davanagere, Gulbarga, Hubli, Manipal and also in Mumbai (Maharashtra), making it a popular Kannada daily in the state of Karnataka. It has a combined circulation of over 3,00,000 copies and is arguably the most widely read newspaper in Karnataka. The newspaper also has an e-paper edition, which caters to the Kannada readers, across the world. It has gained widespread readership across the state over the years, owing to its strong principles, reporting genuinely and precisely. It has won many accolades and awards for its unbiased journalism and quality content, extensive local coverage, neat layout and quality of printing.

This newspaper was founded on December 10th, 1982, and has completed 34 years in 2016. Sanjevani currently has ten editions in Karnataka published from Bangalore, Hubli, Mangalore, Gulbarga, Raichur, Bellary, Mysore, Davangere, Tumkur and Shimoga. Sanjevani has a circulation of around 4.25 lakh copies every day. A Microsoft survey in 2001 has chosen Sanjevani as the ?No.1 Kannada Newspaper?. Sanjevani is owned and published by B.S Mani. The Editor of this newspaper is B.T. Amuthan. Sanjevani is dedicated to publishing breaking and latest news and updates not only to the people of Karnataka but to Kannadigas all around the world. Sanjevani focuses on state and national news. Apart from this Sanjevani publishes articles about important international news, science, technology, health, horoscope and entertainment. Sanjevani is available to its readers online through its e-paper. Sanjevani was, in fact, the first South Indian language newspaper to be published online. The online version of this newspaper uses Kannada as a medium of communication. The internet version of this newspaper attracts several visitors every day. Sanjevani has also launched a mobile version of their website in April, 2010.
