Mahatma Buddha by Sunita Tripathi

In the sixth century B .C ., there was a small state , named Kapilavastu, at the foothills of the Himalayas. King Shuddhodhan of Shakya dynasty ruled Kapilavastu. Everybody was happy there but Shuddhodhan himself often felt unhappy . He had two queens but he had no issue . He prayed to God and gave away donations many times to beget a son. His prayers proved fruitful. After some time , one of his queens, Maya, gave birth to a son. This son, later, became famous as Mahatma Buddha.
