बकुर बेढोल शरीर और असाधारण रूप का एक ऐसा इनसान है, जिसके शरीर में कैल्शियम, आयरन से ज्यादा आत्मविश्वास की कमी है, वो समाज और संसार के नजरिए से बन चले आदर्शवादी जीवन में कहीं ठीक नहीं बैठ पाता। इन वजहों से बकुर की जिंदगी में हास्य से लेकर गंभीरता तक अनेक परिस्थितियाँ पैदा होती हैं। हर क्षेत्र में असफलताओं के झुंड में घिरे बकुर को, उसका परिवार, मोहल्ला, सब—एक बार सफलता की चौखट तक पहुँचता देखना चाहते हैं, जो बकुर के लिए लगभग असंभव है। कोई इनसान जब सामान्य इनसानों के आदर्शवादी ढाँचे से किसी भी मायने में अलग होता है तो या तो उसका मजाक बनता है या फिर वो इनसान आदर्श बनता है। इसी ऊँच-नीच से भरी बकुर की जिंदगी में पैदा होती अनेक परिस्थितियों की रोमांचक और अत्यंत पठनीय कहानी है ‘जिंदगी XXL’।

समय के विरुद्ध
सुरेश स्वप्निल की कविताओं में बदलते समय का प्रभाव भी है और समय के साथ न बदल पाई अडिग निजता भी। वे निजता और प्रतिबद्धता के बीच के कवि थे और कवि होने के साथ - साथ एक नाटककार और नाट्य निर्देशक भी थे। अपनी शुरुआत में वे एक बेहद उत्साही नौजवान थे। उस दौर के नौजवान, जब भारत में प्रगतिशील - जनवादी और क्रान्तिकारी शक्तियाँ उफान पर थी एक साथ कई मोर्चे पर सक्रिय थे, सुरेश भी उस आंदोलन में पूरे होसले के साथ कूद पड़े और उनकी सक्रियता सिर्फ लेखन तक सीमित नहीं थी उन्होंने एक के बाद एक चार नाटक लिखे और उन्हें मंचित करने के लिए एक नाट्यदल का भी गठन किया। वे लोगों से जुड़ते भी जा रहे थे और लोगों को जोड़ते भी जा रहे थे। उनके लिखे नाटकों का मध्यप्रदेश के कई शहरों में मंचन हुआ। अपनी इन उपलब्धियों के आधार पर वे चाहते तो एक नाटककार या एक नाट्य निर्देशक के रूप में करियर बना सकते थे, लेकिन उनकी मूल प्रकृति कैरियरिज्म के खिलाफ थी।
